This Privacy Policy explains what information Aisu Video Compressor ("the app", "we", "us") collects, why it is collected, and your rights regarding that information.
The app is published by Aisu. If you have questions or requests, contact us at aysum1914@gmail.com.
We collect anonymised crash reports including device model, OS version, app version, and error stack traces. No video content, file names, or personally identifiable information is included.
Consent: In regions where no consent framework requires prior opt-in (most countries), crash reporting is enabled by default. In regions where consent is legally required — such as the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland — it stays off until you choose to enable it. You can turn it off (or on) at any time in Settings → Privacy & Data. Turning it off stops all future collection.
Purpose: bug diagnosis and app stability improvements.
We collect anonymised usage events — such as which features you open, how far you get through compressing a video, and session duration — together with an approximate, city-level location that Google derives from your IP address. No video content, file names, or personally identifiable information is included.
Consent: the same regional model as crash reporting above — enabled by default where no consent framework requires opt-in, off until you enable it where consent is legally required, and switchable at any time in Settings → Privacy & Data.
Purpose: understanding which features are most useful so we can improve the app.
The app shows advertisements via Google AdMob. On first launch and whenever you open "Manage Ad Preferences" in Settings → Privacy & Data, a consent form managed by Google (IAB Transparency & Consent Framework) is shown. Your choices determine whether personalised or non-personalised ads are served. If you choose personalised ads, Google may collect your Advertising ID (AAID) and IP-derived location to show relevant ads.
You can change your ad preferences at any time via Settings → Privacy & Data → Manage Ad Preferences.
If you buy Premium (a one-time purchase, not a subscription), the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play. We receive only a confirmation of your active purchase status. We never receive or store your payment details.
The app reads the videos you select so it can compress or stabilize them, and — where you have granted media-location access — it can read a video's embedded location tag so it can preserve that information in the output file. All of this happens entirely on your device. Your videos, their contents, and their metadata are never uploaded to us or to any third party.
When you ask the app to free up space, it can move your original videos to your device's system trash. This is a local action performed through Android; trashed videos remain recoverable in your gallery's trash for about 30 days, and nothing is transmitted off the device.
Video file names, sizes, compression results, and history records are stored only in a local database on your device. This data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. You can delete all history at any time via Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete All History.
We share data only with the following third-party service providers, each under its own privacy policy:
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
To request deletion of the analytics or crash data associated with your device, email us at aysum1914@gmail.com from the device in question or including your Firebase App Instance ID if you have it. We will action the request with Google and confirm within 30 days. You can also delete data yourself at any time:
Because the app has no user accounts, we hold no profile to delete beyond the above.
Firebase and AdMob are services operated by Google LLC, headquartered in the United States. Data transferred outside the EU/EEA is subject to Google's Standard Contractual Clauses, providing GDPR-equivalent protection.
This app is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact aysum1914@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after notice constitutes acceptance.
